GZ Industrial Supplies is the supplier of Dr. Fixit waterproofing chemicals in Nigeria. Our Dr. Fixit 603 Newcoat is a heavy duty terrace waterproof coating system, composed of specially developed highly elastic & resilient acrylic polymers, properly selected & graded fillers, lightfast & weather durable pigments, micro-fibres, additives & best quality fungicidal in water medium. It is used as a liquid applied waterproofing membrane for all types of building terraces. The coating performance can be enhanced for large roofs, by providing a fibre mesh that is embedded or sandwiched between the coats.

Method of Application

  1. Begin by thoroughly preparing the surface. Clean it by washing away dust, dirt, oil, grease, and any loose particles.
  2. For existing old terraces with brickbat coba or screeds, inspect the substrate to ensure its soundness.
  3. Cut and remove any damaged or hollow portions, as well as sharp edges, until reaching the mother slab.
  4. Recoat the slab with a slurry of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP and cement in a 1:1 proportion. After drying, reinstate the brick bat coba in that portion by mixing Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP in both the base slurry and the top coba.
  5. In areas where the coba is sound, fill surface cracks wider than 5 mm with Dr. Fixit Crack-X or polymer-modified mortar. For cracks less than 2 mm, clean them free of dust using a vacuum cleaner.
  6. Apply Dr. Fixit Primeseal to the crack and allow it to dry. Then pour Dr. Fixit Newcoat into these cracks and wait for it to dry.
  7. Ensure that the roof slope is a minimum of 1 in 100.
  8. If there are existing bitumen-based waterproofing treatments, remove them completely using mechanical scarification or other effective mechanical means.

I recently used Dr. Fixit 603 Newcoat to waterproof my terrace, and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. It's been a few months, and there are no signs of leakage or dampness. The application was easy, and the product dried quickly. Highly recommended from Gz industrial supplies.
